Middle School - Viewing Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint

Tutorial Description: Middle School students and families can view Core Competencies grades midway through the semester.  In this tutorial, you will learn how to view your or your child's Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint.

NOTE:  The Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint is not factored into the student's course grade.  Accessing the Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint is different than checking on the student's overall course grade.

1. Parent View of the Student's Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint

  1. After logging into myPueo, in the upper left corner, click your child's picture or hover on the Children drop down if you have multiple children enrolled.  Click the child's page you wish to view.
  1. Click on the Assignments tab.
  2. Click on the Range button.
  1. Enter one date prior to the Checkpoint for From, and one day after the Checkpoint for To.  

For Semester 2 (School Year 2023-2024), the Checkpoint will be posted on 3/11/2024.  Below are the dates to enter for From and To.

On mobile devices, tap on Options - View by Due.

You won't be able to select a range, but you should be able to see the S# Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint assignments clustered together.

  1. Click on the blue name of the assignment - "S# Mid-Summer Core Competencies Checkpoint".

All Checkpoints are named the same - "S# Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint".  To differentiate between classes, please see the name of the class.

  1. Your student's Core Competencies evaluations will be displayed.
  2. Click Back to return to the grid view of the assignments to select another class' Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint assignment.

NOTE:  If the student has an Approaching Expectations evaluation, faculty will enter a comment.  Otherwise, no comments will be listed.

2. Student View of the Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint

  1. After logging into myPueo, on the top left, tap on My Day.
  2. Next, tap on Assignment Center.
  1. Tap on Range.  
  2. Enter one date prior to the Checkpoint for From, and one day after the Checkpoint for To.  

For Semester 1 (School Year 2023-2024), the Checkpoint will be posted on 10/16/2023.  Below are the dates to enter for From and To.

  1. Tap on Assigned.
  2. The Core Competencies Checkpoint evaluations for each class will be displayed.

NOTE:  If there is an Approaching Expectations evaluation, faculty will enter a comment.  Otherwise, no comments will be listed.

Do not worry if the status of the assignment is at Overdue!  The assignment status is a myPueo feature that students - and ONLY STUDENTS - can change.  Students - feel free to change the Status of your Mid-Semester Core Competencies Checkpoint status to Completed when you view your evaluation.
