Updating Secure Note Password

Tutorial Description: This tutorial will walk you through the process signing into your Apple ID. If you do not know the Apple ID password, the steps to reset the student Apple ID are provided in this tutorial.  

1. Updating Secure Note

  1. Tap on the Notes app.
  1. Look for the Note titled Passwords.
  2. Tap View Note.

If there is no Secure Note with the student's saved password, create a Secure Note and begin entering your child's Gmail, myPueo, and Apple ID credentials. You can go to the Student Secure Note Set-Up tutorial to complete this step.

  1. If Touch ID is prompted, have the student login with their Touch ID. If not, tap Enter Password.
  1. Enter the student password that was created by the student.
  2. Tap OK.

Each Secure Note should have at least three login credentials. If there are no login credentials, please add them as listed below.

  1. Gmail
  2. myPueo
  3. Managed Apple ID (MAID)

If the Secure Note does NOT have a secure password or Touch ID set-up, please follow the tutorial the Student Secure Note Set-Up tutorial.

2. Messaging Passwords Through myPueo

Make sure to message the Secure Note password through myPueo.

  1. On the student iPad, Tap on the app called MyPueo.
  1. Sign in by tapping on the box underneath Username.
  2. Tap Next.
  1. Tap on Messages.
  1. Click Compose Message.
  1. Type in your parent name, and click on the name in the drop down.
  2. Label subject with the word "Notes Password".
  3. Type in your Notes locked password as the message.
  4. Click Send Message.
  1. The student Notes Password message will appear in the Messages Box.
