Elementary iPads: Updating iOS and Apps
Tutorial Description: This tutorial shows the user how to update their iPad to the latest iOS software and reinstall, or update, apps through the Self-Service application.

1. Software Update
1. Tap on the Setting app.
2. Tap on General.
- Then, tap on Software Update.
- Download and Install iPadOS 14.
Make sure your iPad is backed up before updating to a new iPadOS software.

2. Updating Apps through Self-Service
- Tap on the Self-Service app.
- If the Analytics and Crash Reports appears, tap on the Continue button.
You do not need to toggle on the analytics or reports.
In this tutorial, to update apps on the student iPad it is called Reinstall.
- Tap on Reinstall for any app you would like to update.
- You will be prompted to tap on Reinstall again.
- The app that you selected to reinstall will appear on iPad with a loading dial and say loading where the app name is usually located.
- There will be a little blue dot on the left side of the app after it has been updated and reinstalled.
Repeat process for all apps that need updating.
