Student Secure Note Set-Up
Tutorial Description: This tutorial will demonstrate how to set up Touch ID, create a Secure Note password, and Create a Secure Note.

1. Setting Up Touch ID
- Tap on the Settings App.
- On the left side, tap on Touch ID & Passcode.
- Next, tap on Add Fingerprint.
- Add your fingerprint and tap Continue.
- Toggle iPad Unlock to green.
- Make sure Password AutoFill is also toggled to green.
2. Creating a Secure Note Password
- Tap on the Settings App.
- On the left side, tap on Notes.
- After tapping on Notes, make sure the Default Account is set to iCloud.
- Next, Tap on Password.
- Type in a new and unique password that you will remember.
- Type the same password again in the Verify section.
- Type in a hint related to your password, but don't type in the password.
- Make sure Use Touch ID is toggled ON to green.
- Tap Done.
Grades Kinder through 4th grade will use the format: student first and last initial with the number 1234. Example: ew1234
3. Creating a Secure Note with Passwords
- Tap on Notes.
- To create a new Note, go to the top right and tap on the square with a pencil inside.
- On the left side, tap on the correct note to begin adding passwords.
- Title the note, Passwords.
- On the right side, begin inputing your usernames and passwords.
- Under Usernames and password, create an entry for Google SSO
- Under Google SSO list all accounts that uses your school Google account to sign in
- On the top menu, tap on the circle with the three dots.
Include usernames and passwords for the following accounts:
- Gmail/Drive
- Managed Apple ID (MAID)
- Active Directory (AD)
You can also add additional accounts that you would need for class.
Add any account that uses Google SSO to sign in
- myPueo
- Zoom
- Tap on Lock.
- Type in the Notes password you created in the step Creating a Secure Note Password to lock your note.
- Tap on OK.
- A prompt will show your Note is now locked.
- You will also see a lock next to your secure note
