Downloading Showbie Files - computer
Tutorial Summary: This guide will show you how to download files from a student's Showbie account while using a computer. This can be done while signed in with a student or parent account.
If using a parent account, make sure you are connected to your child's class by using the teacher provided parent code. If you do not have a code and are unable to request one from your child's teacher, sign in to Showbie using your child's student account and follow the student instructions for this tutorial.
Showbie's website is www.showbie.com.
Files need to be downloaded one at a time.

Signed in as a student
Students sign in to Showbie using a school Google account ([email protected]).
- If you are signed in to Showbie with a student account, your main screen will look like this. Your name will appear in the top right corner.
- On the left side, click on My Portfolio.
- Move your cursor over a file that you want to download. An icon with 3 dots (...) will appear on the right. Click on the 3 dots (...) and click Download.
Depending on the type of file and how the student and/or teacher modified it in Showbie, the file may automatically save to your usual location for downloads or you will see a message asking to confirm your download.
- If you are prompted with a message to confirm your download, click Download.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for each file you want to download.
- To view your downloaded files, go to your usual location for downloads.
Signed in as a parent
- If you are signed in to Showbie with a parent account, your main screen will look like this. Your name will appear in the top right corner.
As a parent, you will see all connected student Showbie accounts on the left side.
- On the left side, click on Portfolio for the student you want to view.
- Move your cursor over a file that you want to download. An icon with 3 dots (...) will appear on the right. Click on the 3 dots (...) and click Download.
Depending on the type of file and how the student and/or teacher modified it in Showbie, the file may automatically save to your usual location for downloads or you will see a message asking to confirm your download.
- If you are prompted with a message to confirm your download, click Download.

- To view your downloaded files, go to your usual location for downloads.
