Setting up Student Zoom Account

Tutorial description:  

This guide will walk you through the steps of setting up a new Mid-Pacific Zoom account or migrating your current Zoom account that uses your @student.midpac.edu email address to a Mid-Pacific Zoom account. Students will use their Zoom account to log into Zoom to access any Mid-Pacific class or meeting

Mid-Pacific students under the age of 16 are allowed to have a Zoom account as long as it's created within Mid-Pacific Institute's Educational account.

Only Mid-Pacific faculty and staff will host meetings for students. Students will not have the ability to host any meetings that other participants can join. Students should only use their Zoom account when attending meetings or class.

1. Create A NEW Zoom Account

On the student iPad, open Safari, and enter https://www.google.com into the URL field and press return on iPad keyboard to load the page.

  1. Click Sign In OR confirm you are in the right account by tapping your icon at top right.

Open a new tab in Safari by tapping the + icon.

  1. Enter https://midpac-edu.zoom.us into the URL field and press return on the iPad keyboard to load the page.

Tap the Sign in button

Be sure to type in midpac-edu.zoom.us, not midpac.edu.zoom.us.

Zoom should automatically log you into your Zoom Student Account Profile as shown below.

If you don't see this screen, go to the next step below.

If you see the Google prompt for username/password fill it out with your @student.midpac.edu email address and password and press the Next button.

Once you are logged in, you should see the Zoom Student Account Profile page similar to what is shown above.

Next, Check your Zoom profile

  1. In the section called Sign-In Email, click Show to ensure that your @student.midpac.edu is correct.  
  2. If not, click Edit and add the student email.

2. Accessing a Zoom class or meeting

You have successfully signed in to your student Zoom account.  You can now open a Zoom meeting url from myPueo.
